MOTU just announced availability of their new 624 Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 audio interface with up to 32 channels of IO - 16 in and 16 out. The 624 features ESS Sabre32 DAC convertors, with the same technology as the MOTU flagship 1248 interface.

2 mic inputs, 2 guitar inputs, 4 x 6 balanced analog with dedicated main outs, 8-channel ADAT optical and independent headphone out for 16 inputs and 16 outputs

All this in a half rack mobile format.

The internal DSP gives you "console style mixing" with 48 channels, 12 stereo busses, and 32-bit floating point effects processing, including modeled analog EQ, vintage compression and classic reverb.

Extensive routing patches ins to outs, or splits inputs to multiple destinations. The 624 and 8A can be used as a stand-alone mixer with wireless control from a tablet, smartphone and laptop -- even multiple smart devices simultaneously -- over shared Wi-Fi.

Using the unit's Ethernet port, users can connect another MOTU AVB interface for more I/O -- or connect to an expanded AVB/TSN network with multiple interfaces and computers.
Also available is the 8A which features 8 analog IO + optical (ADAT or TOSlink)
Both  are available now priced at $795 each.
