Firstly, I apologise for not getting around to reviewing the System-8 before Christmas - I tried honest, but got hit by the seasonal cold and now NAMM has rather moved all other matters out of the way.
So here it is, the new Roland System-8 is here - its an 8 Voice Plug-Out ACB modelled (Analog Circuit Behaviour) polyphonic synth. Its got up to 3 oscillators per voice, multimode filter, 3x FX (Distortion, Chorus/Delay and Reverb) on board sequencer and arpeggiator and three Plug-Out slots.
The Plug-Out technology allows you to run additional syntheiszer models as with the System-1. System-8 comes with two slots filled - Jupiter 8 model and a Juno 106 model.
We'll go into more details with the full review, but please do leave any comments or questions below in the comments.
System-8 is priced at £1299/$1499
