NAMM 2017: Modal Electronics 5 Crafts Together

We talk to their creator      20/01/17

Modal Electronics CRAFT Synth has been out for a few weeks - you may already have one - the DIY synth voice with app control. - We took a look at it just before Christmas and thought it sounded pretty good.

At NAMM we met up with the CRAFT designer, Matt Jackson - he's working on the next version of the app (iOS, OSX and coming for Android). This will allow you to stack multiple Craft synths together, either as a poly synth or maybe a multi-timbral set of sounds.

In poly mode, you can link all the controls - so moving on one Craft will gang all the others, doesn't matter which one you grab. Some nifty stuff.

Matt tells us that we can expect to see this in the next app update - timing tbc.
