As we know, one thing about video is audio is king, you can have a crummy image, but if the audio is fine, we as viewers can get over it, but not the other way around. Samson have introduced the Go Mic Mobile , a two channel wireless mic receiver that can take two mics either as a mix, or as two discrete channels. This can be piped into the USB audio - via a Lightning connector for iOS devices or mini USB for Android, so you get digital audio in to your camera app. Additionally you can take the line out and take that into your DSLR or analog input, or headphone monitor.

Available soon, it will come with a single mic for $199 - choose from hand-held, body pack and lav or shotgun. An additional mic will set you back $79.

We used it on a couple of our live streams to test it out.

The unit operates at  the lower range of the 2.4GHz range and supports up to three sets of devices in any given room.
