Kilpatrick Audio were showing their concept for a new handheld open source linux based music creation device, Andrew Kilpatrick thinks this is the way forward, with the portable mulit-purpose Linux driven ARM platform.

Able to run Android apps and more importantly let him develop single purpose music creation applications, without having to reinvent the hardware each time, he'll be able to produce more features and functions. It follows on from his Carbon sequencer, the next in line after the successful Phenol synthesizer and range of Eurorack modules.

Still at an early stage - he wouldn't name a price but hopes to see it coming to life in the not too distant future.
