Korg has introduced what they describe as exciting updates to their Kross Synthesizer/Workstation, Pa Series Professional Arrangers, and Digital Pianos with the launch of Kross2 61/88, Pa 700, Pa700 ORT, Pa1000, and C1AIR.

Director of Technology Brands at Korg USA, James Sajeva, told us, "This fall launch is really going to advance Korg's place in the synthesizer and piano market. Between releasing completely brand new products such as the C1 Air, to launching updated renditions of classic products like the Kross2, we revel in the fact that Korg truly has something for everyone."

Here's the details in Korg's own words...

First introduced in 2013, the Kross 61 and 88-note models brought pro-level performance and Workstation features to new affordable price points. Kross2 builds upon the workflow of the original; improving upon existing features while adding many more.  Polyphony has been expanded to 120 voices and additional PCM increases the number of internal programs to 1,075. In addition to the onboard sounds, 128MB of built-in expansion PCM memory has been built in, with more libraries to follow. Complete sampling and sample editing has also been added, and a new bank of 16 illuminated trigger pads was embedded, allowing users to play back samples as well as audio tracks. Kross2 has incorporated a new USB audio/MIDI interface functionality, a first in its class.  Available in 61 or 88 keys and in three different color finishes, Kross2 offers more features, more sounds and more possibilities.

Pa700/Pa700 ORT combines features of the best-selling Pa600 and Pa4X and provides a wide variety of sounds, as well as a new range of Styles covering music genres from all over the world.  Equipped with over four times the PCM memory of previous Korg Arrangers, the Pa700 also provides 256 MB of user PCM memory, allowing for a more custom and creative experience for the performer. These Arrangers also come equipped with powerful improved built-in speaker systems. The all-new KAOSS FX control as found in the new Pa4X O.S. 2.0, offers more creative control over styles by allowing musicians to use the gorgeous 7 color touchscreen as an X/Y modulation pad. From subtle morphing between Variations and Drum Kit types, fine mixing between accompaniment Sounds, live reshaping of ongoing rhythms, to the most radical note-crunching effects, to tape delay and arpeggios, the new KAOSS FX isa valuable addition to the line.

Also debuting as part of the Professional Arranger line is the Pa1000; the newest high performance Arranger in the acclaimed series. Packed with plenty of new sounds and Defined Nuance Control for enhanced expression and realism when using solo sounds, this Arranger will keep performances fresh and exciting. The Pa1000 has an improved built-in speaker system, producing strong, full-bodied sounds enhanced by standard features such as the TC Helicon Vocal Harmonizer, a Dual MP3 player and recorder, and the Dual Crossfade sequencer. The Pa1000 packs all this in a high-quality case with aluminum side panels to provide a prestigious look on any stage.

Following the excitement of the recently released G1 Air, the new C1 Air is a luxury Digital Piano that includes 30 realistic instrument sounds including a choice of acoustic piano sounds, splits, and much more. Similar to G1 Air, C1 Air features the Real Weighted Hammer Action (RH3) key bed deemed Korg's finest graded action. Key touch control is also provided with a choice of five levels of sensitivity (light, normal, heavy, stable, fixed) to specify how the musician's playing dynamics are reflected by the sound produced.  C1 Air goes on to offer Bluetooth audio support as well. Connect any Bluetooth device to play along with stored music or other saved audio files, or simply enjoy music through the full-range speaker system. The piano comes equipped with a newly developed amplification and speaker system, setting a new standard in digital piano sound quality.
