The Roland D-05 was released on 909 day which also coincided with the Knobcon Synth show in Chicago. Youtube user Gestelt, grabbed some footage with a direct feed of a selection of sequences from the show floor, where the D-05 was on display racked up next to an SE-02 (see our (review)

The D-05 is a Boutique recreation of the D-50 synthesizer from 1987, featuring 16 voices, just like the original. Shipping soon at an expected US price of $349

D-05 Specs:

  • Perfect re-creation of the original D-50 digital synthesizer from 1987

  • Combines PCM sample-based attack waveforms with synthesized sustained waveforms, with ring modulation available
