Pioneer have just announced their new DJS-1000 Performance DJ Sampler which builds on their Dave Smith collaboration Toriaz SP16 MPC style instrument. 7 inch colour touch screen, 16 pads, touchstrip, 16 step pattern sequencer and FX.
The DJS-1000 is designed for live performance combined with other Pioneer products to ensure they are all synced up using Pro DJ Link.
The promo video certainly seems to have wowed (inevitably) the DJs featured, though it does look like genuine praise and not marketing edited hyperbole. The DJS-1000 also has USB for loading and saving sets, MIDI and Ethernet connectivity (for LAN sync to CDJ2000 NXS2). It also comes preloaded with 2,500+ ROM based samples from Loopmasters to get you started. Specifications are a little light on the PioneerDJ site, but we're hoping more will be forthcoming.
Available November 2017, price £1169
