Mylar Melodies is one of the stronger voices in Modular Synthesis, his new found enthusiasm for live performance with a strong improvisational ethos has recently taken a new turn. As he says in this video, his previous system led to periods of time when he was wrestling to find those magic moments.
In this latest video, he explains why and how he has changed things up. After a chat with VCOADSR and inspiration from Steevio, Mylar (or should that be Mr Melodies?) created a patching setup that allows more time in the zone. By combining sequencers and separating gates from melodic content it means he can "captain the ship" more effectively and still keep the edge of an improvised set.
If you perform live with modular, its well worth a watch.
Still tiny and DIY but impressive though
