Swan - A New Audio File Sharing System For Mix Checks And More

US Designed for collaborative workflows      16/11/17

Swan upload"I've just finished the mix, I'll send it to you". Sound familliar?

Swan is a new service that offers simple file upload geared around audio, simply upload your file(s) as a full resolution (or mp3 or whatever) file or files - each has a size limit of 2GB. Add a title and a message (Final final mix 9?!?), decide who to send it to and off you go. You can specify multiple recipients.

The files remain available for 7 days then are deleted.

Saves messing about with Dropbox and making sure the files are not moved or whatever.

The player can be viewed on any kind of device via a sharing link sent to the recipient(s), with the option to make the file streamable only, allow download or both. Hi res audio files are transcoded and optimised for streaming.

Its also free.

We tried it and it appears to work fine. We even tried to access the file via view source and got  locked out so you can't wangle the file from the player if stream only is enabled.

  • -The Player is auto-generated from your uploaded tracks, and it can support up to 24-96k files of any filetype
  • -You, the engineer, control the Download State of the files you share with your clients.
