breadandbuttersounds.com has released a new editor/patch sharing utility for the Roland D-05/D-50 in the same style as their previous Roland Boutique JP-08/JU-06/JX-03 editors. They tell us that the original editors, up to this day, have 1605 public patches in total by 268 different creators. Here's the story in the company's own words...
The D-05/D-50 editor/patch sharing utility requires no installation and is verified to work on Mac, PC and Android using a Chrome Browser (but it is not tested with an original D-50 yet because we didn't have one available during the development)
Instead of making a virtual copy of the PG-1000 like most other editors out there we have focused on giving the user the ability to see all 316(!) parameters on one screen and visualize the options for each parameter and the logical structure of a D-05/D-50 patch. You can of course also use the browser to zoom in to desired level.
The editor is totally free but donations are highly welcome and will make the development process of editors for new synth models significally faster.
