Like what is alluded to in the review, it's a little primative. But it does seem like a matter of time before an iPod touch and some sort of micro device like Korg makes allow you really just begin production ideas anywhere, at any time.

I have to say that the idea of a midi sequencer on an iPad really looks interesting. Would be cool if someone did a Tenori-On style midi app so you could quickly jam with patterns.

Now WHY hasn't anybody develop a midi interface like this for pda's?

There was a $100 hardware MIDI interface for PocketPC devices 7 or 8 years ago. Software like PocketGriff (a great multitrack studio app with instruments) could take adavantage of it.

This new device looks like it has real potential. The easy sysex backups alone are worth the price.
