And as far as mono synths go In addition to you guys's ideas about their feel and playability I think there popularity is a rebellion against the Plugin ; can do everything at 128 voices thing we have gotten used to over the years . It is the limitations and inconsistency they bring as an instrument rather than a tool in an arsenal + the fact that they are more " affordable "
