FYI, it's not the American way vs the British way of saying Moog. Moog is a Dutch family name. In the Dutch language, the double o doesn't make the same oo sound in English like in the word "good". Instead in dutch, the double o sound is just the same a single o sound but held for longer. However, if you wanted to pronounce the name with the full Dutch pronunciation, you'd pronounce the "g" in Moog like the Scottish would say "ch" in the word loch.
