welllll.... its definatly got some teath! for all the snobbery alot of the synth community has leveled at this synth, i actually quite like its harsh grating sound! I like a synth with some balls :)

tho, I'm still totally put off by the fact that you CANT completely program this synth from the front panel, which kinda negates the whole point of having a hardware based synth in the first place. its low polyphony, & lazy screen (in this day and age, is it really hard for synths to really not have a semi decent screen???)

for the money a blofeld is the better option, shame as this thing could have found its way to my tweeking hand :-P

I'll stick to my Yamaha CS6X. Its got all that and more and can be programmed form the board itself. 16-part multi.

4-parts is weak but its better than the ultranove that has one. wtf are synth manuf's thinking lately with skimping on the timbrality and polyphony?

I really think that its worth the effort, I agree its hard to argue in favour of a hardware synth that requires an editor to er, edit - I mean why not use a vst/au or whatever, but this does have a certain something that set it apart.

have you communicated with m-audio & enquired to the actual remote possibuility of a future update allowing full editing from the board? thats probly the biggest turn off for me... its sound is very nice :)

Nick Batt, I hope that's your name, is the best audio gear reviewer on the nettywebs. He's the goto guy if I'm thinking about buying anything. I know you put out a few remixes, but its time you released some new stuff. I'd buy it for sure. You rule!!!

Hmm was thinking of getting one of these but seeing that it is so computer reliant (computer app reliant) I think I will give it is a miss .. With the ever changing OS's now-a-days on Windoze and MAC OSX the application will be unusable in no time and then you will end up with a half a machine.

Shame there are some real deals on this monster at the moment. Maybe the above is why!!
