I agree with what Dave said...similar to Propellerheads' Reason, most of NI's default SAMPLED sounds (not synthesized sounds) are mediocre. 3rd parties that develop sample libraries using the NI or Reason NNXT engines fare far better in creating sample libraries.
Often wondered why a company like NI or Propellerheads can't hire some acoustic sound designers like Yamaha/Korg/Roland/Kurzweil do.
