@Midi boy: It depends on what you're doing (or trying to do).

There's a lot of sonic changing with just 1 encoder twisting in most of the Synth engines.

OP-1 has a lot of modes. Even in Drum mode (shown on this video) you can have drastic sonic changes depending on the encoder you're twisting.
