Love the reverb, but the distortion sounds a DS-1 to me. Doesn't seem to have any body.

Cheers man! I know what you mean about it sounding like it had no body. I tried it last night at a gig and it sounded much better, I think it only really comes to life when you crank it.

The only real beef I have with the DS-1 is when you move the tone pot past 12 o'clock it just sounds really fizzy and generally unpleasant.

That song isn't by Jimmy Eat World, it's by Foo Fighters. The song is Everlong, which I'm guessing is being played because the pedal is marketed as a 'triple rec in a box', and that is a pretty classic triple rectifier sound on the song.
