I was really hoping for a Tetra keyboard (i.e. multitimbral), but DSI says it would be too expensive, about the same price as a P'08. Too bad. This one looks very nice, just not quite enough to make me grab my wallet now.

Can we bear in mind the fact that those who wanted some polyphony from a Mopho were considering purchasing the original or the small keyboard version (both of which are in a reasonable and affordable price bracket). Therefore they're being asked to pay almost double/quadruple for some polyphony, extra keys and maybe a couple of bells and whistles? When I first saw this I was like 'Yes! Finally!'. As soon as I saw the price I was disappointed. If I'm going to spend that kind of money for such a subtle difference I'd rather just save up that bit more and buy and even better synth such as the Prophet.

I thought of just saving more for a P'08, too, but the bells and whistles on this one are very enticing: the new latch mode (at last!), the sub-oscillators, the feedback loop, the audio inputs… For about the same price, I could get this new keyboard, or I could get the original MoPho keyboard and a Tetra. ( really like the Tetra's multi mode for what I do.) Neither option is enough to make me drop all that money, though.

I don't think DSI is gouging anyone, just to be clear--I'm sure their prices are fair. I'm just not rich. Alas.

oh no, what a missed opportunity imho. If it was even bi-timbral it would have been supersonic. I dont get why it would have been too expensive to make it multi..isnt that side of it all in software?

Very Cool, and thank God it is not yellow. You can always count on Dave to put out quality instruments. I love my Prophet 08, it is on every track I produce. The FM would be a great addition to my music. Nice work Dave.

I'm cool with it being just the way it is. I just traded my Prophet '08 in towards a Nord C2d because this keyboard, coupled with my amazing Tetra, will give me everything I need from a good analog board.

I liked my Prophet '08, but once I played the Tetra, I really missed those sub oscillators and especially the extra feedback routing. This will give me the best of both worlds. I almost never used multitimbrality live, and can still set up the Tetra for that if I need. Perfect.
