Two key questions for t'Messe: 1. how long are the loops? On paper, it's similar to the Korg Kaoss series, which are limited to 16 beats per loop. If it gives more than that, Roland have a winner. And 2. how long are the load times for loading phrases, etc? Again, the K-Pro and KP3 were hamstrung by load-times from SD card which were too long for live work.

Length of loops? Loops available in different lengths? Effect select for individual tracks?

Looks very slick.

Roland, like Microsoft, just don't do 'cool' in product design or promotion. In the last decade anyway. NI se to get the idea, take an artist like Ean Golden and watch him showcase something like the S4 and you get a sense of the features and potential. Watch the vid for this and you get minimal product info and a cheesy artist wankfest

From what i understand, you can record loops of different lengths, just like on the RC300. In fact, looking at the Dub FX demo of the RC505, it looks like it has almost all of the functionality of the RC300, but easier to use for vocalists. Since the vast majority of those who buy the RC300 nowadays are vocalists, I can imagine that Boss will sell a boatload of these. I already plan to sell my RC300 in favor of the 505.

@looping man: That's true. I use Live in my looping show. I probably have the sickest vocal looping setup on the planet after Beardyman, so I know exactly how well Live works for looping.

I'm still getting the 505, because it's easier to use than Live, and I don't have to spend all day setting it up. Hardware is your friend.
