holy crap! After Pro tools 10 was meh, I didn't think they could pull out something this impressive.

Fast offline bouncing is way too long in the making but thank god it's now here.

64 bit is nice but I wish I could use the RAM disc cache feature without buying the HD version.

The Direct HD video workflows could be huge if it works. We will see

I've been waiting to use the 10GB of RAM that I have had in my Mac Pro since 2007... I can only use 4GB. This is because of PT being a 32bit application. PT 10 could be upgraded to get a seperate 64bit process going via the "Complete Production Toolkit" but that was $2000!!!... So now they say that I can upgrade to PT11, an thus, 64-bit... Finally getting what I have waited 6 years for.... for $300??... My question is.... BLLUUUHHH?!?!?!?!... followed by, How am I going to get screwed by upgrading to PT11?...What will I lose?... Or did we ACTUALLY just get the software that our hardware has been waiting so long for? Anyone in my situation, who has stuck with Pro Tools through these years of 32bit software in a 64bit world understands my suspicions.... Is it true?... Be gentle.

There is a grace period. Buy or upgrade or crossgrade from earlier versions of PT, PT LE, or PT MP to Pro Tools 10 after April 7, and get PT11 for free! I'm on board with that, having skipped 9 and 10 previously but I'll go for this.
