On behringers website, under the 'reviews' tab on the 2031 product page, below the paragraph 'reviews from the press', there is a short *letter* from Geddes, commending behringer on their achievement.

There is nothing mentioned about any magazine or agency requesting this test. It just states he was 'asked' to compare them to the Orion speaker.

There is nothing about measurement methods or any data, nor any information who participated in the blind listening test.

In other words this is bla bla bla and similar expressions to the same effect.

Very strange analogy in their choice of comparison.

As the same Behringer is using Linwitz filters, which by creation belongs to Siegfried Linkwitz.

And the same Linkwitz is actually designer of the Orion speaker used as comparison.

Since Siegfried is very found of dipole type of mplementation while using conventional dynamic drivers. Well, one has nothing with other, but rather strange choice to be compared with Behringer monitor.

Perhaps, being less know in audio community, makes it less troubling to use for such promotional "accolade" driven use.

I call horseshit. Those things sound like a butthole on a pig farm.

I would very much like more information on this review. Where's the meat? It looks like nonsense to me and without any data or information on how this test was done it is a completely empty statement.

This article incorrect states that I conducted the listening test, I did not. It was conducted by Dave Clark and published in AES as a preprint. It is available there. I simply provides the measurement data comparing the two loudspeaker systems, I did not do any listening nor participate in the test. The measurements are available on my web site in the PolarMap program.

Well, compared to a lot of far more expensive monitors or the krk's(i hate them), thet give a much cleaner sound. I use the b3031a for scratching and i had the say, i used the rpg6's ,they sound cleaner, much more energie where you need it and a couple of days ago i cleaned the inside....not a bad transformer and replacing the fett's and capacitors for better once ain't no week work... en that for 330euro a pair. mixer from behringer suck...but hese monitors are a bang for a buck, easing the right source...
