Now, if it had been released with even a cheappy plasticky mini hardware controller, the size of a Tetra or smaller but with all mini-knobs it would have been a cool gadget

yeah, but the Kore 1 was both a audio interface and integrated controller which was a great idea for live and mobile use. imagine if maschine had an audio interface with a headphone jack on the controller.

I still mourne the loss of Kore 2, it was an amazing idea and I still use the unit today, just with the knowledge that at some stage an OS update will happen that it wont run on and that will be the final nail.

I have to say though, and I am a massive NI fan, it's been a terrible period of releases from them. Komplete was a

Whatever about people's misgivings about NI (I was not happy when P52 was dropped), Komplete 9 Ultimate is an extraordinary suite of instruments and tools; and is impressively good value for money. In this context, Monark is excellent value.

I recently acquired Komplete 9 ultimate and I hugely impressed. Morark doe sound excellent - it really is good. (The Lexicon Reverb emulations bundled with Komplete 9 blew me away - they are exquisite - I love them).

NI are far from perfect, but I have to say, they do release quality products and through Komplete 9 they are cost effective.

Great review, and I was pleasantly surprised about the "save presets" function - I haad downloaded the update recently but hadn't realized this function has been added. Fantastic!

they did not simulate the instability of the oscillators and the noise in the oscillator signal, noise that is depended of their frequency
