Awesome, they'll now be able to not develop new products but merely discount sell off their existing ones from multiple locations now (I write this as someone who two years ago thought NI could do no wrong, now they just 'do no anything')

I know I have said a lot of stuff against NI on these forums, but all you have to do is look at their forums. They are chocked full of dissatisfaction and disgust.

They were cool about 10 years ago, but now they are too far gone to even be relevant. They bloat up their products with unnecessary add-ons and custom tailor ponzi-esque marketing schemes. It's too bad that a company with such influential products like Absynth, Reaktor, and Massive has turned into nothing more than a cash cow.

To be fair to NI, Komplete 8 is a very good product. Ingeniously equipped with 2 USB leads on the slim hard drive to ensure enough juice when loading, it took a couple of hours to download the mass of software, and it all worked straight off the bat. Though one may love small companies, it often involves a lot of workaround faffing. Maschine may have serious competition now that the MPC Renaissance actually works and syncs to timecode, but credit where it`s due, NI create a lot of very exacting and well researched software.
