I think it's time to start commenting on these SonicState stories, people - surely people have opinions on this one! Personally, I'm not sure Props have REALLY added enough here. An arpeggiator, one new synth and a rather confusing sequencer layout. It just looks... well, cluttered to me. After working with Live, Logic and the like, Is Reason just getting too FIDDLY now?

a lot of great software developers made the mistake of flipping it's user interface on a large community of users that had no problem at all with the way the interface was. i hope the prop's thought this through... and me...i was naive enough to think the next version's finally gonna have a better sound engine...

And I was seriously hoping for a "REAL" multitimbral sampler that can play "REAL" sample libraries...The interface, synths, and sequencer were already tons of fun... Oh well...

i was hoping a "Battery" like module for drums sequencing and editing would be implemented by now .... with more than just these new few mods .... and like Alex said a real sampler not to mention a 64-bit engine.... to go along with the bit movement .... makes me think PP has settled into being a one trick pony ...

Why can't they put vst support onto it? I think it would be a much better program if it did. Then you could put "Battery" onto it ;)

I left reason for cubase back when reason was 2.5. I tried rewiring, but it didn't really excite me. I'm watching all the hype now about the new version of reason, and it's kind of funny. Honestly, I was totally new to using a computer to write music when I bought it. If someone had taken the time to explain about what a VST is, and how reason can't use them, I would have never bought the program. Now I've left cubase for Orion Platinum 7........ and I'm very very happy.

Hey body..what kind of music do you like?..if you make a stupid acoustic music or country genre, use all the unstable apps that ran vst.But if you make realy electronic music, for girls body moving like a Style of Eye ,just go for props version 4. analog and classic machines ...
