I do love the sound of the Kawai 5000 series. I had a Kawai 5000W keyboard but, just like the DX7, additive synth is tedious and slow for us mere mortals. If there had been a great computer editor with all the elements on one screen instead of trying to access the parameters through the tiny K5000 screen it would have been a real winner

Well, the K5000 was shipping with a special sounddiver editor software. But like all used products, some these little things gets lost as the synth changes owners.

Nevertheless, the K5000s has really nice pads, the arpegiator is really nice and to keybed is still unsurpassed.

i remember posting a k5000s demo here, but I think I lost it.

I had a K5000r, and I regret selling it. I loved the unique and beautiful sounds it produced. I set my Z1's knobs up to control it, and it was really amazing.
