Nice idea, but I hope they will be around in 5-10 years and keep updating the software to work with future computer OS's- or this thing is will become an expensive boat anchor!

5-10 years? Would expect a laptop that ran VSTi to last that long?

I think it's a commendable product, the problem is that the authorisation of plugs is going to be the hurdle for many , and that it has a limited CPU power. However, the fact that it's running on a striped down, presumably Linux kernel means that it will be making the most of what power it does have.
