Did the Ploytec 34one pedal did the same thing for a lower price and in hardware format (without the audio input) ?

The Koass Pad 3 does beat-detection/synchronization, and the looping tool in Ableton 8 looks like it automatically syncs to your live playing -

Impressive and highly useful, but I just think this technology is getting a bit too common to throw around statements like "in ways not possible until now"
