Seriously, is this an instrument or just a plain signal generator? Electronical stuff that sounds like this are most likely broken. :) BTW, my old tv can produce sounds like that.

Not really a bad question, answer being:

It's the signal generator part of an instrument ... seriously.

Of note, the well working unit intended to sound as you heard and more.

I would also agree that televisions are great sound sources.

I love electronic music and analogue gear...BUT...this thing or any like it, could never be used musically in anyway...ever. There are much better, much less cumbersome, much less expensive alternatives. Time to get out of the dark ages people.

They said $425 with w/o the expander, $500 with. A deal. 3 VCOs, a mixer 3 VCAs, Ring and Frequency Shifter for 4 bills? Try that with analog. Bring it on! If it's pure digital it'll be very musical. Timbers that track the whole audio range and pitch which will track with it.
