Nahh he's got nuthin on James.. I worked with him for 5 years.. he's the don on this stuff. He rebuilt a synthi 100 from pretty much the groundup....

credit crunch and/or profit, nick. Just like all the other big modulars. System 700's are now changing hands for 25k , which is a 10k increase in just over a year. So the credit crunch certainly doesnt affect the buyers. There are one or two people to blame for this shoring up of prices, but i wont name names here.

Is this the unit that was originally at Music Control (where they had to remove the exterior wall to get it in!)... I know James originally worked there too ......

You gotta admit they do fine work there - pricey but probably the best on the planet.

Nah, not RL of RLM, as he's a good bloke. He's also a friend of a very good friend, whose judgement on all things analog i trust. Having owned, used and abused various analog goodies over the years, i wish id known this good friend earlier, but heigh ho, etc.

You're in the right ballpark, but youve picked the wrong player, so to speak, and ill leave it there :-D

The Music Control uNit was called Digitana. I know who bought it.. but even all these years after.. and after Music Control (RIP) I'm not supposed to say... If I heard right from the podcast that this unit is from france then no this isn't the Digitana. Oh and yes we had great 'fun' hoisting this out of the office on a crane, and even more fun pushing it up stairs in 3 pieces b4 it was restored lol!!!
