Wow... Those filters sound amazing... What a fantastic piece of gear! Also: I'm now resigned to the fact that at some point I'm going to get a modular synth (albeit not one in this pricerange).

this im pretty sure, was used on OCTOPUS. When they were 10k or so, i regret not buying one then, cause 20k plus is too much for these imo. Kent serviced two of them for richard and hans zimmer bought both a few years ago...they are mega! there were about 50 or so made.

you cant compare the system 100m to these, as they have a MUCH BIGGER AND CREAMIER sound. I remember even when i had 4x5 system 100m modules with about 6 oscillators, it still couldnt compete :-)

great find Nick!

i'm pretty sure one member of depeche mode also has this. they used it 100% on their record "songs of faith & devotion" 1993.

Actually I think Flood has one who was producer on it - top chap and by all accounts a real whiz on the modualr stuff.

the one DM use, is daniel miller's. Flood's got shedloads of gear, including a moog system 55 or 3c

I had the use of a System 700 back in 1980 for 6 months.... I was so sad to see it go.. boohoo. When the more manageable 100M (the compact version with mini-jack connectors), I bought a system with 15 modules which I had built into a case with a bunch of Oberheim SEMs. I lent that out to a "friend" who lived in Blackpool UK, who was being harassed by Scientology thugs for money, and he ended up selling it to someone in London. Ouch.

18k is a LOT of vig..

The wonderfulness of this remarkable synth is matched only by the dreadfulness of the camera work. I puked fifteen times as the lens zoomed and swirled. It would have been lovely to actually see this beast as well as hear it!
