This was Mackie's BIG ANNOUNCMENT from NAMM - The Mackie DL1608 takes 16 Onyx mic pres with 6 aux sends and master LR out.

Each channel has 5 band EQ, gate/compressor and effects.

All the interfacing is taken care of by the iPad which can either be docked OR operated wirelessy - up to 10 at a time so the band can all control their monitor mixes, while the FOH guy can be ahem,  "working" at the bar. Great concept, cant wait to see what its like on the test bench.
