We first saw the Sonora 2 a few shows ago in prototype format; it's a dual-channel discrete Class A mic-pre transformerless design from UK-based microphone specialist Sontronics.

Since then there have been a few revisions and refinements, and the unit is just about ready to be put into production… interestingly, in the UK itself; company founder Trevor Coley has teamed up with a fabrication company usually associated with the high-end race car world.
