At NAMM 2014 new DAW style mixer/transport control surfaces from Behringer are the X-Touch and X-Touch Compact. Both are designed to offer DAW mixer and transport type control with the X-Touch aimed squarely at the Mackie Control type user. With the same kind of 9 motorized fader, jog/shuttle control and MC or HUI protocol which allows tight integration with the mixer and transport control functions of the DAW.

Additionally, there are a number of other cool features - two port USB hub -  you could for instance hook up an X-Control Mini or other class compliant controller for integration with the X-32 series mixers, ethernet connectivity - you may for instance control an X32. price - $599

X-Touch Compact offers the same Mackie Control format but with an additional MIDI mode but a less comprehensive transport control. It also has the built-in two port USB hub, 9 motorized faders, 16 rotary controllers and 32 assignable buttons (4 per channel).

X-Touch Mini -  a little bus-powered mini controller 8  backlit rotary encoders each channel with two assignable buttons plus a single short fader. It also has a MC mode for Mackie Control mode, plus two layers for essentially two configurations.
