ESP Guitars has debuted two new models at the Summer NAMM show. The LTD EC-1000VB (Vintage Black) and the LTD EC-1000VHB (Vintage Honey Burst) are new models in the LTD line that were previously only available under the higher-end ESP brand. Both new models will be available this fall. “We’ve had tremendous success with the entire LTD brand over the past several years, says Jose Ferro, ESP vice president. “While ESP has long been considered a premier custom line for professional guitarists, it’s the LTD brand that has allowed ESP Guitars to deliver exceptional quality instruments at price points that are viable for dealers to sell in larger numbers. The new LTD EC-1000 guitars are based on two of our best-selling ESP models, and should be well accepted from the day they hit the stores. The new LTD EC-1000VB is based on ESP’s popular Eclipse II VTB model. It offers a classic single-cutaway body shape with a set-neck construction at a comfortable 24.75 scale. Its mahogany body is perfectly joined to a 3-piece mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard that features flag-shaped inlays and an ESP insignia on the 12th fret. The LTD EC-1000VB provides EMG 81/60 active pickups with two volume and one tone control, as well as a 3-way toggle pickup selector. Sperzel locking tuners, an Earvana compensated nut, a Tonepros Tune-o-Matic bridge with stop tailpiece, and 22 extra jumbo frets complete the picture. Also adopted from the ESP Eclipse II VTB, the LTD EC-1000VB features a great-looking and unique vintage black finish, paired with gold hardware and an aged triple white binding on the body, neck and headstock.

Vintage Honeyburst
The new LTD EC-1000VHB offers a more traditional take on the single-cutaway guitar. Like the Vintage Black model, the EC-1000VHB offers a set-neck construction at 24.75 scale and a mahogany body. This model, however, is highlighted by a gorgeous flamed maple top in a vintage honey burst finish. Its 3-piece mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard feature ESP’s flag inlays and 12th fret insignia. Pickups on the EC-1000VHB are Seymour Duncan JB/59 zebras, controlled with two volume knobs, one tone control, and a 3-way toggle switch. The guitar also includes chrome hardware, Sperzel locking tuners, and Earvana compensated nut, and a Tonepros Tune-o-Matic bridge with stop tailpiece. Complementing the detailed look and feel of the guitar is aged white binding on the body, neck and headstock. More info:
