Pocket Operators - these things are currently rare as hens teeth, we've only been able to have this set for a short time before they go on to the next eager reviewer. As you may know, the Teenage Engineering Pocket Operators simultanious announcement and release at NAMM 2015 caused a buying frenzy that cleared the shelves at Teenage Engineering HQ. We're now into back orders with the teenagers having to get out of bed early every day to build and fulfill.

So what is it about them that sparked so much interest? Gaz Williams explores them in this Week  of Pocket Operators.

In part one he gives us an overview of the three machines: The PO12 - Rhythm, PO14 -Sub, PO16- Factory, each one designed to specialize. The PO12 is the drum machine, PO14 the bass and PO16 the lead/synth.

Whats more interesting, is that they can all be synced together to create a chain of devices, but how musically useful can they be?

Stay tuned for more - tomorrow is the Pocket Operator PO12.
