Confession... I really like ribbon mics. There's something about the sound of those big old Coles 4038 mics that just does it for me... in fact we use small ribbon mics in the Sonic studio to record much of our audio - they're accurate and authentic, and seem to be very forgiving of placement too. So when I saw a ribbon mic in the display cabinet on the RØDE Microphones stand, I had to check it out.
Turns out it was their new NTR mic - I asked Ryan Burke to tell us more...
