Cymatic Audio have been busy. Last time we saw them, we were looking at a couple of relatively simple  standalone USB record and playback devices - the LR-16 and LP-16.

Since then, they've added the uTrack 24, a single rack mount,  full 24 channel record and playback rack system designed for touring bands who need either show recording or playback. Now they have embraced the new AES67 digital audio over network transport standard, they can move audio between devices using standard networking cable and routing technology. Additionally they have a four  input, two outputs  AudioNet (AES67) IO box  - the UNODE M42. With supporting IO cards for the uTrack 24  it is possible to route audio all over. Additionally, they have added a full 24 channel recording card for the Behringer X32 - plug a USB drive into this card and hit record, all routed channels from the X32 will be recorded directly to the USB drive - no computer needed.

We spoke to Arie, the company owner about the new range, its a pretty compelling set of kit and probably wont be long before we are all using this sort of routing in our own setups.
