We just got delivery of the new Pittsburgh Modular Lifeforms SV-1 Blackbox synthesizer. Its a desktop home for the Pittsburgh SV-1 which is a comprehensive semi-modular synth voice. Its normalised internally taking its input from the MIDI input and trigger module, which also provides some additional digital sound sources and functions.
Its has a couple of VCOs which use a new Pittsburgh Oscillator Core, OSC one includes the Pittsburgh Blade Wave - a modulatable SAW wave, plus Sine, Saw, Tri and Square.
All this goes into the 4 ch mixer which in turn goes to the Pittsburgh state variable Filter, which has a low bass loss resonance.
A snappy ADSR envelope and VCA end the signal flow.
We'll get into this more with the full review, but in this video we just wanted to show you a patch and ask if there were any questions you had for the final review.
Enjoy, and don't forget to comment.
