At last years Messe, we showed a preview of the awesome polyphonic touchscreen from Jazz Mutant. At the time, it was a beautifull thing, but the way it talked to the outside world was somewhat esoteric, only being able to use a single protocol. Now with version 1.5 slated for release in April, the Lemur allows you to talk directly over MIDI, making it interface with, almost anything. There's also Mackie Control protocol so it can be used to control Cubase, Logic et al. The number of templates has increased to get you started, but there is also an editor for designing your own. It's one of those products that when you see it, it blows you away - so I suggest you take a look at the video for a flavor of what it can do. Still not benefitting from the price breaks of mass production, one may consider it expensive at 2,000 euros, but the amount of stuff you can do with it is limitless - and it's going to make you look so cool.
