The Mackie TT24 is a fine lookin' piece 'o gear. With sturdy handles and pretty Vpots doubling as metering it cuts quite the dash. Total recall, dynamics per channel, EQs aplenty and tons of routing options, one might think it’s the perfect solution for the portable front of house or monitor mixer. Well yes, but 24 channels is kind of short change for many larger acts - and so may not have fitted the bill for all but the most modest lineups. The introduction of the new Cat 5 TT System 32 DS3232 with 32 channels of in and out, makes the channel count a more than respectable 56 channels. You also get up to 32 returns back to the stage for a massive monitor mix or recording setup. The mic amps are digital so all settings are stored in the TT24 memory. And what’s more, the price is astonishing $12999 for the TT24 and DS3232 together – that’s pretty amazing.
