The original LiquidMix had a bit of a wow-factor, what with the real-time and display an all that ting. A sexy looking FireWire DSP box with 32 channels of dual processing (one EQ, one dynamics) - and such good emulations of classic EQ’s and compressors at what seemed a pretty reasonable price (£499 Uk $1099). But Focusrite decided to bring this LiquidMix technology in at an even lower cost so more people could enjoy some Liquid Love. So they introduced the LiquidMix 16 - with 16 mono instances of processing at 44.1 or 48 kHz. Without the front panel LCD, it brings the system in at £329/$799 list. I’ve seen em for as low as £299/$499.
