Toerag Studios is equipped with a spellbinding array of analogue gear collected over the years by studio manager, Liam Watson.

In 2001 Liam teamed up with long time acquaintance Jack White to produce the White Stripes album Elephant.

Since then, Liam continues to record and mix a vast spectrum of musical styles with many different artists who seek out his unique sound. Although nowadays with the added adornment of a Grammy award!
In this series of videos, Liam divulges many of his secrets as he grants us unprecedented access to the inner workings of Toerag Studios.

In this first part, we are shown around half of the control room as Liam tells us about Toerag's humble beginnings in the early 90's.

Next Friday Liam continues the tour with a closer look at that Abbey Road REDD desk and a peak at the live room.
