The prolific SM Pro Audio gave us a whip round of some more new products including the P-Control, for changing the phase of any mono signal, such as a mic, line of subwoofer signal to line it up. Most systems, just give you a 90degree shift, but this unit gives you full control from 0 to 180 degrees. We also take a look at the new DIDock, a stereo D.I. Box that allows you to dock your iPod or a mini jacked audio output such as a laptop f'rinstance and send the feed out to an independent headphone out and a balance XLR signal for interfacing with pro equipment. The rather remarkable multi cable tester is next with it's unusual split device format for testing hidden cables – a snip at $129 US. There's also the 8 channel passive transformer isolated 8 channel to ADAT audio A to D which offers attenuation for line level signals such as keyboards, and can be used as a way to get quality audio into your DAW or digital mixer.
