A digital bass box with sounds better than some analogue keyboards. It runs on the same principles as the Spectrum Synth, but this box is strictly basses. Sampled waveforms with digital filters do a great job of coming as close as possible to actual analogue. I recommend getting the PC-1600 controller, that way you can edit the sounds to your hearts delight. This box has 6 part multi-timbral capability and 12 note polyphony. 24 oscillators (2 per voice), 12 modulated resonant filters, sample and hold, AHDSR, this box can do it all with the help of the PC-1600. 256 presets with 64RAM are available right out of the box. This unit blows away ROLAND's Bass and Drum module for bass sounds, and for it's price new back in '96 ($399), it makes you think before laying money down on a BassStation or an over-priced TB-303. If you can get your hands on it, take it.

Great bass sounds. This has classic analogue, acoustic, and FM basses. About a dozen synth sounds. Some basses work better as synth pads and leads.
