I have to disagree with your subjective opinions, the contruction quality was excellent (all metal, no plastic), the ease of use was excellent (I could sample, map and loop on the fly with it live) and the overall sound quality was outstanding for a 12-bit sampler. KEYBOARD magazine rated its reproduction quality as better than any Emulators or Roland S-series (16-bit!) As an owner of 2 of them, I agree.
Comments About the Sounds:
Excellent for sampling your own sounds with (REAL SOUNDS, not hacking! If you want to hack, go buy that Akai thing with the cd player built in and MMMegs of RAM - if you want to make cool analog/digital hybrid SOUNDS, than this will work great!)
