Advertisment

Adam Smith (adamsmith@mediaoneREMOOV.net) writes:
I like what I've heard so far. I purchased this as an upgrade from the DM5. The DM5 sounded kind of plasticky to me, and I could never get it to sit quite right in a mix. Not the case with this box. The onboard effects will make a big difference for those who are short on outboard processors.

I would recommend this to anyone who is currently using up too much sampler polyphony doing basic kick, snare and hihat stuff, or to anyone who wants to spend less time building kits (which can be a very time-consuming thing!). I use a K2000, with only 24 voices, so it helps a lot to unload

the drums.

Please note that I'm a keyboard guy, and cannot comment on the triggers.

Comments About the Sounds:
More than enough drum sounds to satisify anyone. Equal coverage of acoustic and electronic drums, and some very usable FX noises.
