Fred Fee (fredfee@which.net) writes:
If you want realistic sounds - ignore this one. It is cheap and cheerful. The JMJ-like string pads are the very good, but generally the factory sounds are old-fashioned and weedy. The synth engine is digitally-controlled analog with a mild, but pleasant resonant filter. Program your own to take advantage of the limited, but well chosen, modulation routings and useful pads are easy to come by. The rise time of the output sounds slow compared to modern synths, so percussive sounds are best avoided. The effective inbuilt chorus, pulse-width modulation and two waves per oscillator generally provide rich, but soft sounds hard to obtain elsewhere. LFO can modulate filter to produce unusual sound effects. It can recognises only MIDI notes 36-108, so depths cannot be plumbed.

Comments About the Sounds:
Factory sounds are generally old-fashioned and cheesy - they do not do the machine justice.
