This keyboard was ahead of it's time, everything that it had, is still imitated by the big companies today and then again a few features that are still unique to this instrument only, from the 3D sound processor to 2 pair effects,Draw bar Performances which provided those rich true organ sounds of the past, easily controlled using the 8 panel sliders,Single Touch Play" each Style stored up to 8 different Style Performances, allowing you to reconfigure the arrangements of the same Style by simply selecting a Performance,RASS was a new feature which integrated sample grooves (audio files from either Akai,wav) into the styles of the WK8 Megastation,greatly enhancing the musicality and feel of real time playing to a huge sequencer,audio video interface, harmony processor,SCSI,and Hard Drive filled with over 1,100 songs with text. The only thing that is missing is portamento and it would of been the perfect keyboard, it's too bad that at some point the so called upgradable operating system stops to exist, and therefore the instrument dies a slow death although new model doesn't always mean better if you look at it for example price comparison.
Comments About the Sounds:
Although there was only 16 megs Sound ROM it still sounded very good.
