For me it works I love it! Love the 76 Keys, it a great practice board and I laid some track with it on my digital recorder. It has potential just check out the two demos. For the music I do it's fine because I have other gear to go with it. If your developing your chops it a good board to play around with. Personally it depends on what your trying to accomplish, but it won't fit all style of music. Actually under the hood I think it's the Casio WK 1600 or 1630.

The sounds are decent for a keyboard like this and you can split or layer sounds.
